21 Day Fix Weekend Wrap up!!!

What a challenge it was staying on task all weekend long! The problem I ran into? How do you plan out what food you are going to be introduced to on a weekend? What if you MIGHT want a glass of wine later but you're not sure? Well, it was hard, but I figured out how to deal in my own way.

Friday I started off KILLING IT all day, I started with breakfast with my mom and her friend. I oped for one slice of multi-grain bread (no butter) two scrambled eggs (no butter) and one slice of cheese. Score! I beat the restaurant at its game! Ringing in at one red, one yellow, and one blue! The rest of the day went as planned and I opted for a small glass of wine at my bestie's house later that night. I had one yellow left, and you are allowed to swap a yellow for a glass :)

I cleaned the house like a boss and added some weights for some extra calorie burning power!!

I got my workout in right before I left because I cleaned allll day and OMG it was NO JOKE. I had just enough time for a quick shower and out the door I went!

And I didn't have too much planned for the rest of the weekend just relaxing with my sweetie and my Ebook! So we watched my friend's dog Lilly Saturday :-) I made sure to get my workout in before I arrived.. Shaun T caught me doing the fix instead of INSANITY
But after that hard workout I was starved and...duhn duhn duhn! She made Lasagna for me!! but :-) I planned it out and MY GOODNESS it was SO much food! two yellows and the serving size is a green container so it was a huge piece! I added a side of fresh steamed broccoli (GREEN) and was really full after. So, that was a cheat! but an allowed cheat!

and SUNDAY hardest day YET. My friends son turned one and I sure couldn't miss it! but there was so much good food.... but seeing as her and her husband are both beachbody coaches, I didn't feel the slightest bit odd pulling out my containers and filling the green with salad and raw veggies (GREEN) or when I demolished my sandwich (RED) and ate the turkey, I decided against the cheese on it, so I left it on the plate. I put a few spoonfuls of  these amazing cheesy potatoes and I counted it as a yellow....
but CAKE, the most amazing looking cake... yep! I had a small piece. but the problem came later when I made my "everything that is left from the week chicken stew" because it had rice!

so, sunday I went over. I walked the dogs and went for a run.... Yoga, was for Sunday and I missed it :(!

But I made up for it today :-)! and I meal prepped and didnt miss not one container today!!

weigh in?? even with the slip ups.... I'm down 5 pounds! and my arms are looking SO toned. I'm SO ready to face week two! BRING IT AUTUMN C!

21 Day Fix Day 4!!

Well I just finished up with day 4 of the 21 DAY FIX Man oh man this program is working in only 4 days let me tell you! I can feel and see new definition in my stomach and shoulders. Makes me feel like a total bad ass lol

Breakfast as usual....

Vanilla shakeology! (RED) I'm one to just drink it with water

Snack time at 9:30 I decided to go heavier because the last few days I was getting really hungry before it was time to eat yet.
So I decided on mango (PURPLE) and brussel sprouts (GREEN)

Mini rant! I LOVE my job. BOTH of them. but today, I had a mini melt down. I just started a new position 3 weeks ago, and I feel as if these people have more confidence in me than I have in my self. hard thing to accept when I feel like I'm not catching on to things like I want to. however, day after day my new coworkers show me so much kindness. They had me stop, and breathe, and we prioritized. I wasnt wrong. They weren't communicating and handing me way too many different things. No one knew how much work I had on my plate. My cube neighbor said "don't even be afraid to involve me, I will take care of it". lol my personal protectors, they really are GREAT.... but lesson learned here.... Never doubt yourself, if you're feeling overwhelmed, there is a REASON.
and back to the fix....

Lunch! I didn't get hungry in between at all, I found the key!....

And lunch was filling! I had a great salad with fresh baby spinach (GREEN), hard boiled eggs (RED), mozzarella cheese (BLUE), and a little olive oil (ORANGE)

second snack! Man, I gotta learn to have a yellow at lunch! Apples(PURPLE) and PB(TSP), I wanted half of an english muffin but they seemed stale so I threw them in the trash, oh well. More yellow for later

When I got home I made some chicken, threw a little whole wheat bread crumbs on it with a few spices (RED) and I chose a small baked potato with a little plain greek yogurt (YELLOW)

WORK OUT TIME. Man I was HAPPY when I saw Pilates on the schedule lol, but it was rough!

and my after work out meal: vegan tropical strawberry shakeology (RED) almond milk (yellow) 2 little pieces of mango, (not sure how to count that, they were just for flavor) and Ice. I added a small bowl of brussel sprouts.... and YAY I used all my containers but a teaspoon!

BRING ON DAY 5!!!

21 Day Fix Day 3!

Wow! I am sitting down to blog about this hectic crazy day and I must admit I'm pretty proud of myself here! I definitely wasn't prepared food wise today but I made it work!
Oh my GAWD I am SORE.... And today was freaking leg day! Lol but my legs did really loosen up after..... But I'll need this space at work tomorrow

I had jury duty today, and it was ALL damn day. Pima to say the least. Crazy defense attorney asked me four times if I was biased because I had knowledge of the law... because of my degree. Like I said, wouldn't that just make me apply it properly?? Alright enough for my rant!!

More about the FIX
So, I started with my coffee and shakeo TO GO. With a teaspoon of natural PB ice and water (the vegan chocolate admittedly is not my favorite but pretty good when blended with pb). So I starred with a RED
(At this point I was pumped about jury duty....)

Well two hours in I was getting really hungry so at 10 I ate an apple from my purse (always keep emergency fruit lol!)

Then lunch came at 12:30! Talk about a hungry girl! Well I found this little sandwhich shop, and originally ordered a chicken sandwich, no bread, and a side salad.... They didn't have grilled chicken salad on the menu.. Weirdos.

No dressing, no cheese.
And I took exactly what fit into one GREEN and one red of chicken... Here is proof that they give you WAY more than you need! I know it's veggies but still...
The top container is what I had left after I took out all the good veggies, peppers, cucumbers, tomato, onion, ect to eat... Here is the actual portion I get to eat... Mind you, still a ton of food
I met some fellow friendly jurors who asked if they could sit with me, really great nice people. (Also, some random lady shared her umbrella with me today. I usually hate the city... But man Pittsburgh people are very thoughtful.)

Well around 2:30 I was so hungry I could murder someone. Lol I had half of a zone perfect bar (yep protein candy I know, more emergency food from my purse. I had to) which I swaped for a yellow because we can have a treat at blue size if we swap for yellow. And another apple (purple) lol
So here is where I fell short, but! I stuck to the plan. It was allowed!

I came home around 5:30 and scarfed down a boca burger on one slice of Ezekiel bread...red,yellow.... And had one green of Brussels sprouts.

Did my lower fix!!! Wanted to die! Lol I was so sore... But honestly? After the work out I feel better!

And I'm eating a meal of eggs (red) spinach (green) and flax (orange) :)

All in all a great day... But a hard one. It shows that these busy days do not have to trash your plan!!!

The 21 Day Fix: Day TWO!

Day one was AMAZING to say the least! I definitely learned a few things about my eating habits, and I started to get hungry right on cue (about every 2-3 hours), with the exception of my second snack because lunch was extremely filling. The workout was quick and fun, I definitely underestimated the difficulty level! I am SORE! But on my right side more than my left lol odd. I hope today's work out evens it up!

I noticed that I fell short somewhere... I missed a container!! I had an orange container that I didnt use :(! it says NOT to skip containers so I will be sure to make sure I dont miss any today. I also had a yellow in one of my last two meals. I'll try my best to adjust it to earlier.

Now, Today breakfast was the same, vanilla Shakeology! I liked having it in the morning yesterday. It gave me a good kick start and keeps me full until snack.

9:30 I opted for a half of banana (P) and a teaspoon of PB (T) didnt look like much but it was SO good. I really like Teddy's All natural peanutbutter. SUGAR is not needed in peanut butter, read lables it should be "Peanuts, salt" thats IT! Honesty, taste is not that different.

10:30 ehhh if i remember correctly I started to get hungry around this time yesterday too. Lunch is in an hour, and Im going to just drink my water. I need to find a good AM snack to bridge the gap between breakfast and lunch. maybe a yellow? 😕 but I like to hoard those! I only get two lol

11:30! Finally! LUNCH time! 😊 I brought in the left overs from dinner! Measured everything out and put it in a bowl. One yellow full of brown rice, one green of cooked peppers and a little of the water and organic tomato sauce broth. And one red full of extra lean ground beef! I never ever ever eat red meat two days in a row, but the soup was good and too quick to pass up. It's within the guidelines so I will deem it as acceptable

Snack time at 2:00!
I'm thinking MANGO yum! And half a green, I'll eat the other half later... Tried to finish up my carrots from yesterday with a little celery

5:30 meal 5!
My mom and I went to visit my aunt and we wanted to grab some of her fabulous food. Family recipe with mushrooms beef and noodles! It worked out to be one yellow and one red! I added an orange full of flax :) Sooo yummy!

And then the three of us went on a very very long walk! I rocked my insanity T of course!

8:30 yes I know it's late! But I have to get it in!!
Scrambled eggs (RED) with baby spinach (GREEN), and a little organic Swiss cheese (BLUE)

And I did it!! I used all of the containers!!!

Upper fix was a BLAST! And I'm so glad it was upper! Lol my legs are KILLING ME!!

I am SO ready for tomorrow!!! Bring it on!!
